Why I Can Too
The I Can Too Foundation was started to help eliminate some of the social and economic disparities that exist between communities suffering from poverty and limited resources, to those communities with stable economic flow and increased access to vital resources. There are so many children that are raised in circumstances that ultimately derail them from reaching their maximum potential and I Can Too was created to help the youth in those situations acquire the skillsets, confidence and resources to help overcome their environment. The name “I Can Too” is self-empowering and a constant reminder to face challenges head on and know that one can do anything that one sets their mind to.
Our Method
The I Can Too Foundation will take on a five step approach to ensure our youth are set up for excellence:
Provide Supportive Environments
I Can Too will provide an atmosphere of support and structure in which there will be mentorship and unlimited access to resources and guidance from people who have conquered similar goals.
Educate
I Can Too will continuously design and implement curriculum that is essential and relevant to developing socially and fiscally responsible youth. This curriculum will be taught by instructors, mentors and volunteers who are not only relatable, but skilled to do so as well.
Provide Experiences
I Can Too will create fun and educational experiences that will help them challenge themselves, see and learn new and different things and see the world.
Reinforce
I Can Too will create multi-year long programs and put out a monthly newsletters to reinforce what we teach our youth and create consistent environments of support, experience and education.
Mentor to Peer Relationships
I Can Too will provide youth with mentors in hopes that they will develop life-long relationships of wisdom sharing and support.
